Job Description

This position is a Temp to Hire opportunity. This is 100% on-site and requires the candidate to live within a commutable distance to Andover, MA.

Summary/Objective

Personnel in this job group prepare incoming submissions for quoting and policy issuance as well as renewing and updating current files under the Personal Lines Policy Program. Rating assistance is also provided to Underwriters and Agents. Personnel in this group enter data into the system for Quotes, updates, changes, and process system driven tasks and assignments.

Essential Functions

  1. Prepare and enter new submission for policy issuance or quote purposes vias ACX according to specifications by agent or underwriter. Run reports, set up tasks, and contact agents for additional information.
  2. Sorts and prioritizes ACX tasks, returned mail, emails, and faxed requests.
  3. Prepares, categorizes, scans, and uploads requests and correspondence to the Policy File.
  4. Attend scheduled training sessions with Team Lead.
  5. Review and process renewal policies verifying changes and premium. Correct system generated renewals. Check and account for all ACX Personal Lines policy renewals.
  6. Process endorsement change requests. If necessary, obtain the required information and documents.
  7. Review Umbrella Renewal Questionnaires, runs MVRs, and process approved changes. Send high level URQs to Underwriting Assistants/Underwriters for approval.
  8. Returns URQs that require additional information.
  9. Set up tasks and add comments in the ACX system that pertain to correspondence.
  10. Process approved endorsements in the ACX system and attach request to the Policy File.
  11. Assist Agents with quoting, questions, and issues in the ACX system.
  12. Assign tasks to the Personal Lines Underwriters that require decision making and knowledge of Underwriting Program Guidelines.
  13. Prepares certified copies/duplicate policies, endorsements, and files in accordance with Underwriter, Claims Examiner, and agent requests.
  14. Provides excellent customer service to mortgage companies, Agents, Underwriters, and Fieldmen.
  15. Report issues in programming to proper parties and provide specific examples.
  16. Retain detailed notes to ensure accurate work accomplished with reasonable speed and maintain record of changes in procedure for one own’s individual use.
  17. Attending ACXhange system training.
  18. The employee will perform any task requested by the Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, or Team Lead that would contribute to the smooth operation of the department/Company.

Key Performance Indicators

  1. Attendance daily, unless on personal time, sick leave or vacation, arriving at 8:15 am until 4:30 pm.
  2. Proactively supports underwriters and works as team player, as evidenced by receiving acknowledgements from underwriters, manager and/or colleagues.

Work Environment

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:15 am to 4:30 pm and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Attendance is an essential function of this position and restrictions may apply during peak periods.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Associate degree Preferred
  2. Insurance experience preferred.
