At CARES Northwest, the health and safety of children come first. We are passionate about ending child abuse through effective prevention, medical evaluation, treatment and support. Join us as we help children and families overcome the crisis of abuse, and move forward toward hope and healing. Established in 1987, CARES Northwest is one of nation’s oldest children’s advocacy centers and the largest in Oregon. Our program is a unique collaboration of four health systems – Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel, OHSU’s Doernbecher Children's Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, and Providence Children’s Health – and child abuse multidisciplinary partners in Multnomah and Washington counties. Advocating for over 42 ,000 children in our 34-year history, CARES Northwest is a leader in our region’s efforts to protect our community’s children and promote their healing.
