Location: Denver/Metro Area, Colorado; Potential for overnight travel

Type: This is a part-time intermittent position - there are no guaranteed hours

Base Pay: Project based from $30.00 - $82.00 per hour

Reports To: Director, Consulting Services

Closing Date: March 4, 2025

Position Purpose

Employers Council is seeking a part-time intermittent Human Resources Professional Consultant to join our team. We partner with employers to grow exceptional, dynamic workplaces by offering a comprehensive set of services.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responds to project assignments from Manager of Human Resources Professional Staffing Services.
  • Provides a variety of Human Resources (HR) Specialist, Generalist, or Manager levels of support for internal projects, members, and non-members.
  • Offer expert advice on HR policies, procedures, and best practices to members and non-members
  • Coordinates with the client for on-site and virtual assistance per the project scope.
  • Communicates and escalates any updates or issues.
  • Provides exceptional customer service to members and detailed, professional project outcomes.

Education and Qualifications

  • Relevant industry certifications from the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and/or Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM) preferred.
  • Experience in multiple human resources disciplines such as total rewards, staffing, employee relations, and performance management at a strategic level.
  • Experience with multiple HR principles, functions, best practices, compliance, employment law and organizational development
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (8 years of experience)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, research skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with discretion and exercise independent judgement.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to independently travel to engage members and perform on-site training including overnight stays.
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive), Adobe and Zoom

General office environment with opportunities to work remotely. Potential for overnight travel. Travel to member locations throughout the metro area.
