NewSouth Technologies is in search for an IT Project Manager to work with a team of section managers, developers, program staff, and other technical staff to support the development and maintenance of a new harvest reporting system.

***This position is based in Morehead City, NC but can be fully remote for the ideal candidate.

The Hiring Manager would like the candidate to come onsite for a few days preferably every quarter throughout the engagement.***

***This is an open-ended contract position with a possibility of a long-term extension.***

***The hourly rate for this position is between $50HR - $52HR depending on the ideal candidate's background and experience.***

Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location: Morehead City, NC (Hybrid – Remote with occasional onsite visits)

Job Overview:

NewSouth Technologies is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the development and maintenance of a new harvest reporting system. The selected candidate will collaborate with section managers, developers, program staff, and technical personnel, following Agile project management principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule and coordinate working sessions, project meetings, and stakeholder touchpoints using Agile methodologies.
• Lead the collection and documentation of business and functional requirements; translate them into clear technical specifications.
• Organize and manage tasks throughout the application lifecycle, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
• Facilitate and support testing sessions with staff and end users.
• Maintain and update project tracking tools such as Touchdown and Microsoft Project on a weekly basis.
• Develop, write, and maintain essential project documentation and standardized templates.
• Contribute to the creation and upkeep of key artifacts including a design library.
• Ensure ongoing support and documentation across project activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience as an IT Project Manager
• Business and functional requirements gathering
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience creating RFPs for IT vendor procurement
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Office 365 (including SharePoint), and MS Teams

Preferred Skills:

• PMP Certification – Highly desired, not required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio – Highly desired, 3+ years preferred
