Junior to Senior Litigation Attorney, Providence, RI, 150k to 190k base, bonus, contingency participation

Licensed in RI highly preferred, MA, CT, NH, NY, ME, VT desirable and considered

Summary:

• Our client needs a senior litigation attorney for their growing team of well-respected attorneys who are committed to exceptional client care, a flexible and collaborative team-oriented work environment, personal and professional growth, and mentoring.
• The successful candidate in this role will be committed to leadership, mentoring others, quality legal work, attention to detail, and will be hard-working, industrious, and possess the personal attributes of honesty, intelligence, and utmost integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Leadership, mentoring of more junior litigation attorneys
• Active involvement in all phases of client representation from intake, initial office conferences, case development, demand, negotiation, and resolution
• Extensive client interaction including intake and subsequent communications
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys, junior attorneys, and paralegals in litigating complex medical negligence and serious injury cases
• Attend and participate in weekly team meetings relating to the evaluation and advancement of injury and malpractice cases, attend and advocate for clients at depositions, arbitrations, mediations, and trial
• Independently research, interpret and apply legal principles in the context of motion practice and litigation
• Prepare demands and negotiate successful resolutions on behalf of clients
• Personally handle multitude of personal injury and medical malpractice cases

Qualifications:

• Significant experience in Personal Injury Litigation, Complex Litigation, Medical Malpractice Litigation
• Client focused experience – personally demonstrate that both external and internal clients are a high priority by identifying, and responding to their needs in a timely and efficient manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, Advanced analytical skills
• Strong academic credentials, management skills, writing and oral communication skills
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• I licensed to practice law in Rhode Island. Licensing in Massachusetts, and/or Connecticut is a plus
