Lead Java Developer

As a Full Stack Java Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our platform. This hands-on position requires expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Angular. You will collaborate closely with platform leaders to translate the overall vision into actionable plans for our development pods. Your leadership will ensure the delivery of high-impact, high-profile global products.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $80 - $95 / hr. w2

Responsibilities

• Vision and Strategy: Collaborate with Platform Leaders to define and implement the vision for development pods. Ensure the ongoing delivery of value by maintaining a prioritized product roadmap and backlog.
• Product Leadership: Lead and provide strategic direction for product management, development, and marketing processes. Develop and execute the strategic vision for the product or platform.
• Team Leadership: Offer strong leadership support to pod-level team members, ensuring alignment across product backlogs. Provide day-to-day guidance and evaluate the impact of products against established scorecards.
• Risk Management: Be accountable for all risks originating from services delivered, including remediation efforts. Manage issue escalations and track financials.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet client needs. Provide strategic direction for enterprise teams on cross-platform deliveries.
• Innovation and Agile Practices: Promote agile ways of working, DevOps practices, and automated testing. Encourage innovative thinking and adaptability to change.

Required Skills:

• Technical Expertise:
• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Angular.
• Strong understanding of full-stack development and architecture.
• Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of database technologies such as Oracle.

• Proven ability to lead and mentor development teams.
