Legal Assistant

Job Summary:

Our client, a well-established personal injury law firm, is seeking a Legal Assistant to support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from intake through settlement or trial. The ideal candidate will have experience handling legal documentation, case management, client communication, and administrative support in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in managing personal injury cases , ensuring timely progression.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence .
  • File motions, complaints, and other legal documents with the appropriate courts.
  • Organize and maintain client case files, medical records, and discovery materials .
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, and meetings with clients, experts, and court personnel.
  • Communicate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and defense counsel to gather and provide case updates.
  • Manage attorney calendars, deadlines, and follow-ups.
  • Perform general administrative tasks such as data entry, document preparation, and case file management .

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in personal injury law .
  • Strong understanding of personal injury case procedures, legal terminology, and court filing processes .
  • Experience with legal document drafting, discovery management, and case coordination .
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software .
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills .
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment , meet deadlines, and handle confidential information.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Paralegal certificate or related legal education is a plus.
  • Experience with electronic court filing systems .
