Hestia Property Management is a residential management company headquartered in southern California. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service to our clients, residents, vendors, and team members. We are currently on the hunt for a talented and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team in the Oakland/Berkeley/Richmond area

In this position, your primary responsibility is to provide excellent service while preserving the asset. You will be tasked with carrying out the maintenance of the property, including preventative maintenance, routine maintenance, and emergency maintenance. This position will be responsible for completing tasks in a manner that is consistent with the property and owner objectives.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

· Always provide excellent customer service.

· Respond to all requests and work orders in a timely manner.

· Respect and maintain resident privacy when entering apartments. Ensure that you have proper authority to enter.

· Assist with scheduling and performance of all maintenance related events for make readies and work orders.

· Maintaining the upkeep and maintenance of the building and grounds including daily clean up as needed.

· Scheduling and performing routine repairs throughout the property.

· Perform maintenance and repairs including plumbing, light electrical, HVAC maintenance, light bulb replacement, light carpentry, and appliance repair.

· Walk the property, inspect vacant units, and perform necessary tasks to maintain the building

· Respond to after-hours emergencies.

· Inspecting building, equipment, and systems

· Implement preventative maintenance

· Setting up and troubleshooting systems

· Painting and minor drywall repairs.

· Attend training and education classes as assigned.

· Follow all safety/OSHA requirements.

· Additional duties as assigned.

Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, appliance repairs, basic plumbing, minor electrical, and comfortable interacting with our residents. To excel in this position, you must be organized, a problem solver, and be ready to jump in wherever needed.

Requirements

· Must be 18 years of age.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Experience in multifamily property management.

· Ability to pass a criminal background check.

· HVAC/EPA certified, preferred but not required.

· Understanding of general maintenance.

· Capable of and available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

· Problem solving abilities.

· Well organized.

· Able to clearly communicate orally and in writing.

· Be able to push, pull or lift over 50lbs.

· Able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time.

· Possession of personal tools, required.

· Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

· Proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
