Job Title: Satellite Operations Technician (24/7 Support)

Location: Onsite in Lexington, MA & Westford, MA

Clearance Required: Active Secret Clearance (with willingness to upgrade to TS/SCI)

Job Type: Full-Time, 1-Year Contract (Potential for Extension)

Schedule: 24/7 Shift-Based (See Below for Details)

Position Overview:

We are seeking dedicated and technically skilled Satellite Operations Technicians to support 24/7 mission-critical space operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of executing high-pressure technical tasks, monitoring systems, and ensuring the integrity of complex satellite payload operations.

This role supports on-orbit operations for hosted payload missions that contribute to space domain awareness. The position requires consistent adherence to procedures and the ability to respond to anomalies in real time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor sensor telemetry and execute standard operating procedures to ensure payload safety.
• Identify and respond to system anomalies and coordinate recovery with relevant stakeholders.
• Use mission-unique software to perform daily operations and maintain operational proficiency.
• Maintain accurate operations logs and perform shift handovers using established Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
• Coordinate with engineering, maintenance, and mission stakeholders on operations and anomaly resolutions.
• Support maintenance and troubleshooting activities led by Factory Support Center and Engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Department of Defense SECRET Clearance (must be willing/eligible to upgrade to TS/SCI)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience executing formal operating and safety procedures.
• Proven success in executing critical missions under tight timelines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making confidence.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and support off-hour satellite operations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Top Secret/SCI Clearance (active or eligible)
• Experience supporting operational missions/programs.
• Familiarity with space domain awareness concepts and operations.

Work Schedule:

Operators will be assigned to support one of the following shifts:

• Day Shift: Friday – Tuesday, 06:30 – 15:00
• Mid Shift: Wednesday – Sunday, 14:30 – 23:00
• Night Shift: Friday – Tuesday, 22:30 – 07:00

Candidates should be flexible and available to adjust schedules as needed to ensure 24/7 operational coverage. Weekend and holiday work is required if scheduled.

Work Environment:

• 100% Onsite due to the sensitive nature of the work.
• Work will take place in secure, closed facilities in Lexington, MA and Westford, MA.
• Once TS/SCI clearance is granted, operators must be willing to work at either location.

Interview Process:

• Round 2: Zoom interview with additional team members
