Job Description

Role: Community Manager & Social Media Assistant

Weekly Commitment: 10-15 hours 

Location: Remote, with optional in-person coworking opportunities if you’re based in Charlotte, NC

Start Date: End of May

End Date: End of August (potential to extend based on performance)

Pay: $10 - $12/hour

LaFave Media is a boutique creative agency specializing in social media management and content creation for luxury wedding professionals and creative brands. We’re strategy-first, story-obsessed, and growing fast — and we’re looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and creative team member to join us.

This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes social media, loves engaging with audiences, and is self-motivated enough to thrive in a flexible, remote environment with lots of creative flow.

Role Overview:

  • This is a part-time contractor position starting at 10–15 hours per week, with the potential to grow.
  • You’ll be the voice behind the scenes — chiming in with comments, starting conversations, and helping manage community engagement that’s thoughtful, brand-aligned, and genuinely connects with our clients’ audiences.
  • We’re looking for someone who has a strong sense of tone and timing — someone who can blend seamlessly into different brand voices and knows when to speak up (and when not to).
  • You’ll help our clients show up online in a way that feels natural, creative, and human. If you’re the friend who always knows what to say in the group chat or is constantly dropping the perfect comment on IG — this role was made for you.
  • Bonus points if you’re already in the loop when it comes to weddings, fashion, design, art, interiors, or pop culture. That’s the world many of our clients live in — and we’d love for you to be “in the know” there too.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Community Management (daily): Monitor Instagram and TikTok accounts, respond to comments in the brand voice, engage thoughtfully with other accounts, and help nurture an active, intentional community. Must be available for short check-ins on post days to engage with comments and interact with our clients’ communities in real-time. This typically takes 20–30 minutes per day and happens during business hours. Flexibility is okay, but consistency and availability are a must.
  • Publishing Content: Support with publishing content, monitoring posts, and ensuring everything goes live as planned.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Pull monthly analytics (we’ll show you how), track engagement wins, and help compile monthly client recap emails.
  • Trend Research: Stay on top of what’s happening on social — especially IG Reels, TikTok, and visual trends. Bookmark ideas, suggest concepts, and contribute to our monthly trend report meetings.
  • Pinterest Support: Help pin and manage Pinterest content using Tailwind (training provided).
  • Internal Admin Tasks: Assist with updating client portals, uploading files, organizing content folders, and other operational tasks that keep us running smoothly.

  • You’re available during weekdays for quick daily check-ins — this isn’t a 9–5 job, but we do need someone who can show up consistently and reliably when content goes live.
