Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and support telecom systems including PBX, VoIP, SIP, and mobile communication networks.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues related to connectivity, latency, and capacity.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for the procurement and installation of telecom hardware/software.
• Implement network security protocols and ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., FCC, GDPR).
• Perform system upgrades and patching of telecom infrastructure.
• Generate detailed documentation including network diagrams, SOPs, and incident reports.
• Provide support and training for end-users and other internal teams.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in telecom engineering or network administration.
• Strong knowledge of VoIP systems (e.g., Cisco Call Manager, Asterisk, Avaya).
• Familiarity with networking protocols and technologies: TCP/IP, SIP, RTP, QoS, MPLS.
• Experience with telecom tools and monitoring platforms (Wireshark, SolarWinds, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with cloud telephony platforms (e.g., Twilio, RingCentral, Zoom Phone).
• Knowledge of 4G/5G technologies and RF planning tools.
• Understanding of SD-WAN and Unified Communications.

Working Conditions:

• Office-based with occasional travel to data centers or remote sites.
• On-call availability may be required for emergencies or planned maintenance.
