Job Description

Summary: The Event Bartender provides high-quality beverage service for private events. The ideal candidate will have strong mixology skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a deep understanding of responsible alcohol service. This role requires adaptability, efficiency, and the ability to create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in setting up and breaking down event spaces, including arranging furniture, setting tables, and decorating according to event themes or specifications.
  • Set up the bar area according to event specifications, ensuring all necessary tools, glassware, garnishes, and ingredients are stocked.
  • Verify and maintain compliance with venue regulations, including liquor licensing requirements and safety protocols.
  • Review event details, including special drink requests, VIP service, and any specific guest preferences.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages quickly and accurately, following standardized recipes.
  • Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring exceptional guest service according to Company standards.
  • Monitor alcohol consumption and enforce responsible beverage service, refusing service to intoxicated guests when necessary.
  • Process transactions, handle cash and credit card payments (if applicable), and maintain accurate records of drinks served.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area throughout the event.
  • Account for inventory usage and report any shortages or issues to the Event Manager or Bar Supervisor.
  • Ensure all bar equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
  • Work closely with the event captain and Catering Sales Manager to ensure all details are executed according to the event plan.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety guidelines.
  • Address guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

  Must Haves:

  • Previous experience as a Bartender in a restaurant or banquet setting.
  • Knowledge of POS
  • Knowledge of basic food safety and health regulations
  • Customer-centric
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and carry trays for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a high-demand and fast-paced work environment.
